Search Court Records

The proceedings and decisions made in a court of law in the United States are all retained on permanent record. Minutes, or the exact dialogue from inside the courtroom as documented by a stenographer, are often available in this category as well. Almost all case information originating within the District Court system and the Circuit Courts can be accessed. In some states, adoptions, juvenile delinquency, child protection, termination of parental rights, guardianship, and civil commitments are not considered public records. It should also be noted that an employer may refuse to hire an applicant on the basis of a conviction only if the circumstances of the conviction substantially relate to the particular job.

Court Records can be used in finding citations, dockets, as well as making inquiries into both civil and criminal cases. Aside from these, court records can be used in the mounting of an argument to move to an appellate court. After their review and the discernment of ventures away from protocol are made, an appeal can be filed.
